QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications for this position:

Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or related field; four (4) or more years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

WASS ID within three (3) months of hire; EIV Coordinator Authorization within three (3) months of hire.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive.

Calculator, computer, computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Yardi, and other applicable computer software), mobile phone, fax machine, copier, scanner, telephone, and other standard modern business office equipment; entrust data card.

INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:

Employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); has contact with potentially emotionally distraught persons; this is considered sedentary work and the employee must demonstrate the ability to perform the physical demands required of the position in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor’s physical demands strength ratings.

In cases of emergency, unpredictable situations, and/or department needs, may be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects heavier than D.O.L. strength ratings recommend.



Job Information:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:  

60% (1) Works closely with staff and contractors to resolve errors as identified on reports; oversee various functions as noted, however, not limited to: HCV Call Response Team, HCV HUD Inquiries, and Fraud.

30% (2) Compiles and prepares various reports (e.g., using the HUD Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system to run reports and resolve: deceased tenant reports, multiple subsidy reports, identity verification report, immigration report, new hires report, income verification tool and other reports deemed necessary by HUD or CMHA); analyzes and interprets data for members of the Agency; communicates with the organization by interacting with department heads and gathers, documents, and analyzes various reports and requirements.

5% (3) Serve as WASS and EIV coordinator in providing and maintaining access to EIV and HUD Secure Systems. Assist WASS and EIV coordinator in removing access to EIV and HUD Secure Systems.

Attends meetings and serves on committees, as directed; attends training and seminars, as directed.

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Maintains required licensure and/or certification.

Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

5% (8) Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHARACTERISTICS: (*indicates developed after employment)

Knowledge of: *Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system; *HUD Secure Systems and the modules contained within it; office practices and procedures; *Agency/department goals and objectives;

Skill in: Identifying and correcting EIV report items needing corrected, locating, and updating records in HUD Secure Systems; computer operation; use of modern office equipment; organization, planning, and time management; information research; database management.

Ability to: Accurately complete HUD forms granting access to the EIV system and HUD Secure Systems; monitor system accesses; interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, picture, or schedule form; deal with many variables and determine specific action; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; exercise independent judgment and discretion; understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, or regulations to specific situations; read, copy, and records figures accurately; add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers; calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages; copy records precisely without error; complete forms; prepare correspondence; compile and prepare reports; respond to routine inquiries from public and/or officials; communicate effectively; understand a variety of written and/or verbal communications; maintain records according to established procedures; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; develop and maintain effective working relationships; travel to and gain access to work site; maintain confidentiality.
